PRIVACY POLICY

Information we collect
We will collect and process the following personal information about you: name, email, mobile, date of Birth, address, payment Info, temporary asylum from war, accommodation documents, other information.

When a user fills out one of the contact forms, sends us information via e-mail or otherwise, also when a user interacts with the website.
How we use your information
We will use the information that we collect about you for the following purposes:

How we use your information when you make a donation
When you make a donation to RETURN Association, we use the personal data that you provide to process your payment and to keep a record of your support. When we use personal data in this way to meet our charitable aims, in data protection terminology our lawful basis is ‘legitimate interest’.
We record your name and contact details, and the type and amount of your donation in our donor database and email management system.
We use Wix Payments, Adyen B.V. and Stripe to accept card payments on our behalf. These systems comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS). We will keep in touch with you by email to keep you informed about the results of your donations and our work. You can opt out of receiving these emails by emailing us at contact@returnassociation.org.
We will not share your contact details with other organisations to use for their own marketing purposes without your prior consent.
We keep records of financial transactions in accordance with Swiss and international law. We keep other records on an ongoing basis to manage our relationship with you. We keep data retention regularly under review.
If you make a significant donation, we may need to carry out checks including on the sources of the funds and any business or other interests that you have. We do this to protect the reputation of RETURN Association, and to meet legal and regulatory requirements. When we use personal data for this purpose, in data protection terminology the lawful basis is ‘legal obligation’.

We may need to retain certain information for longer periods such as record-keeping / reporting in accordance with applicable law or for other legitimate reasons like enforcement of legal rights, fraud prevention, etc. Residual anonymous information and aggregate information, neither of which identifies you (directly or indirectly), may be stored indefinitely.

In accordance with current legislation, you may have a right to access and rectify or erase your personal data, restrict or object to the active processing of your data, ask us to share (port) your personal information to another entity, withdraw any consent you provided to us to process your data, a right to lodge a complaint with a statutory authority and such other rights as may be relevant under applicable laws.
